Hello all! Thanks for stopping by our blog.

Steph and Jon are running in the Edinburgh Half Marathon this coming May to help raise money for the Sumartran Orangutan Society, (and to see if we can actually make it the whole 13 miles without keeling over). The SOS are working on projects which include supporting the establishment of a working Re-Introduction Center for ex-captive and refugee orangutans in Sumatra, Indonesia. By donating you'll be helping to save their natural habitat, (which is being lost at a rate of 6 football fields per minute in Indonesia), and we can help save a lot of other endangered animals like tigers, clouded leopards, and gibbons.

Training Update

Hey All!

Jon and I are moving along quite well with our training. We are a little behind as I had a slight injury and had to take a little time off, but we're slowly moving forward and luckily I am not in as much pain as I was a week ago! I'm hoping to keep it that way. We have been training during the week every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday running 3o minutes and on the weekends are our distance runs. Yesterday we ran a nice 4 mile run and today we plan on running the same distance, but adding some hills to our trail running. The Edinburgh Half Marathon is 7 weeks from today, and by picking up our pace and training a little harder, I know we'll be ready for the big day.

Thanks to all of those who have donated thus far! We appreciate it so very much. If you'd like to donate to our fundraising for the Sumatran Orangutans, please click on the "Sponsor Me" widget on the right hand side of our blog, or click HERE. We hope to raise $1,000 for the SOS. To learn more about the SOS and their organization click here. Or you can click on their logo on the left side of the screen.

Thanks again! and a VERY Happy EASTER to you all!

Jon and Steph
